(Adventures in Myth) Gryphons war, book 1 gone missing, Chapter 5

CHAPTER 5 HONEY                                                                    Honey padded around the cubs den, she had still been asking cubs if they had seen Bark-Fur. The poor little brown owl gryphon had been missing for almost four days now, and Honey missed her friend. She padded up to a white cub with lavender stripes, “excuse me? May I have a moment of your time?” Honey asked her politely, the white cub, who looked like she was about five years older then Honey, looked up. “Sure” the cub said, then she turned back to a black cub and said, “I’ll be right back, Flint,” Then followed Honey to the tunnel. The white cub sat on the cold, stone floor, “so, what’ya need?” the cub asked. “Have you seen my friend? Bark-Fur, she’s a coffee brown owl gryphon cub with black talons and beak, she is also super fluffy with lots of streaks of dark brown. I haven’t seen her in almost four days..” Honey looked at the cub with hopeful

CHAPTER 4 ROCK-SLINGER                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              “Ugh! I have a neck cramp!” Rock complained to his sister. “Well there’s nothing I can do!” Star-Fighter snapped, “you’re the one who forgot to clean out your bedding,” she continued as they flew down to the prey den, this time the hunting party had come back at the right time. Rock scanned the pile for a deer, nothing, so he snatched a rabbit instead. Star-Fighter picked out a wild horse that was buried in moss and launched into the air. “Wait! Where did you get that?!” Rock yelled at her, he hadn’t seen a horse in forever! But his sister didn’t answer him, instead she said, “you’ll know when your old enough” and flew to the cubs den. “Well that’s not fare!” he said to himself, Star-Fighter was four years older then him and f

CHAPTER 3 FEATHER  Feather strained his eyes to see, he had just woke up and the sun was beaming in his face. The whole village was a mess, mountain peaks got smashed, some trees where still on fire, and lots of gryphon’s got either wounded or killed. It was rough for him the other day, stuck in a crammed hole. Feather padded over to the prey den, hoping to find a rabbit or two, but their was only a mouse. Which another cub snatched before he could. Feather sighed, what else could possibly happen? It was already hard enough for him to catch prey, now their wasn’t any more? At least the morning hunting party should be back soon, he thought staring at the empty circle of rocks. He heard someone walk over to him, then they said, “nothing left eh?” then he saw Star-fighter beside him with her sister River-flow behind her. “No, another cub took the last mouse…” Feather explained. “It’s alr

CHAPTER 2 FLINT                                                          Flint struggled to see in front of all the cubs who suddenly stopped, frozen with fear. Flint was’nt scared, she was just worried about Feather. Feather and herself never got along very well. It was normally when Feather was asleep and she tried her hardest to wake him up, but he’d just mumble under his breath saying “just a few more minuts…” and then roll on the other side of his back. “ugh!” Flint grumbled, Feather think’s to less of himself that he dosn’t realize how fast he could run when he’s panicked! she thought. She started shoving through the gryphon cubs, intel most of them slowly backed away. Most of the gryphon cubs had their ear’s flopped and their tail’s tucked down. Some were flexing their talon’s, with their fur on end. Rock shoved his way up to her. “what’s going on?” he asked “why did everyone stop moving? And where’s Feather?” he scanned the cubs around them for any sign of a whe

PROLOGUE                                                                                      In a room that smelled of smoke and blood, a large dragon sat in a black spicked throne. A smaller more skinnier blue dragon crept into the room and started to bow, but the large dragon held up her talon, the blue dragon looked up, starring into the large dragons dark, piercing green eyes. “ No need to bow, you know what I’m waiting for,” the large dragon said, letting her forked tounge slither in and out of her mouth. “ Yes your majesty, we’re working on it… my solders are training as we speak,” the blue dragon said. The large dragon leaned over, letting her shadow tower over the smaller dragon, and slowly said, “good, now general I’d like you to tell the soldiers to prepare for battle, Night Claw has reported that all gryphons above cub age will gather in the Feather Peeked Mountain Village, it will be the perfect time to attack.” The general nodded his head in agre
