(Adventures in Myth) Gryphons war, book 1 gone missing, Chapter 5
CHAPTER 5 HONEY Honey
padded around the cubs den, she had still been asking cubs if they had seen
Bark-Fur. The poor little brown owl gryphon had been missing for almost four
days now, and Honey missed her friend. She padded up to a white cub with
lavender stripes, “excuse me? May I have a moment of your time?” Honey asked
her politely, the white cub, who looked like she was about five years older
then Honey, looked up. “Sure” the cub said, then she turned back to a black cub
and said, “I’ll be right back, Flint,” Then followed Honey to the tunnel. The
white cub sat on the cold, stone floor, “so, what’ya need?” the cub asked. “Have
you seen my friend? Bark-Fur, she’s a coffee brown owl gryphon cub with black
talons and beak, she is also super fluffy with lots of streaks of dark brown. I
haven’t seen her in almost four days..” Honey looked at the cub with hopeful
eyes, then the cub said, “no. I haven’t, but you could ask my sister, her name’s
River-Flow. She has a grey pelt with pink diamond shapes and a striped tail,
you’ll most likely find her at the lake,” then the cub turned around and said, “hope
you find your friend” then padded off.
Ugh!
How am I supposed to find a cub in THIS giant thing?! Honey thought to herself, dipping one talon in the water before yanking it out. The water’s freezing! She
thought, might as well hover over it.. Then she flew a little ways over the
lake and saw a light grey tail before it disappeared into the deep, freezing
water. “Ugh!” Honey grunted “could this get any worse!” she said, when out of
no where she heard “LOOK OUT!!” and yanked her head around, only to see fruit
zooming strait toward her, hitting her in the head before she could even blink.
It knocked the breath out of her, and unable to keep her balance from the shock
she plummeted into the cold depths of the lake.
Poor Honey...I take it Barkfur is one of the missing cubs in this tribe?
