CHAPTER 16
HONEY
Honey trembled as the Dart-Tail
repeated himself and said “ARE YOU READY TO COAPERAT?!” Blizzard made a
trembling node. “good,” the dragon replied “NOW SPEAK!” he demanded. “We have a
magic crop” Blizzard spit out, trembling as he said it. “Like what?” the
Dart-Tail asked. “Magic flowers that can heal any kind of WOUND in at least two
days, my tribe found it deep under ground and shared it with the other tribes…”
Blizzard looked so wounded, probably because he had given such important information
to the enemy. “So that’s how they do it…” the Dart-Tail breathed, then he
turned around and said “bring them back to there cells” and two Mud-Claw’s
unlatched the blonds and dragged them away.
“Oh Honey!” Bark-Fur screeched, “You
didn’t have to do that!” she weeped. Rain was still crying, and Rose looked
more sorrowful then ever. Honey’s scrap still stung, and it added more pain
when three Mud-Claw’s dragged in Three limp bodys. She gasped when they tossed
a weat colored cub into their cell, and continued to drag the other two. It was
Feather… Honey’s heart crumbled into a thousand pieces when she saw him, he had
a big brouse on his neck.
Feather groaned, Honey had never
left his side since he was brought in. And she wasn’t ever going to leave his
side, he winced and his eye’s shot open. He clutched his neck, reached for a
tuft of of moss, and started digging. Honey didn’t know what he was doing but
she helped him dig, he pulled out a very dirty chunk of… some kind of plant? Then
he blew on it, smashed it with his claw, added the moss and smashed it some
more, until there was a little bit of slime. Which he smeared on his brouse, he
jumped when he saw Honey next to him, and stared. Then he twined his tail with
her’s, she was hoping it was a sign of love but the other half of her mind was
slowly grinding that thought, saying it was just a way of saying ‘hi.’
For the rest of the day Honey and
the other cubs spent locked in their cell. The day went by so slowly, since
there was opviously no joy found when you’re a prisoner, but after what seemed
to be years, it was night, she knew so because the guards were switching out
positions. Honey layed her talons on the cold stone floor, rested her head on
them, and fell into a deep slumber filled with dreams of torcher and despair.
