(Adventures In Myth) Gryphons war, book 1 Gone missing, chapter 12
CHAPTER
12 HONEY
“wake
UP!” Some one yelled in Honey’s ears, Honey groaned. “Oh I new that would work!”
said a familiar voice, Honey opened her eyes and saw a familiar brown pelted
owl gryphon… Bark-Fur?! She realized, she would have said something if there
wasn’t a metal bond around her beak. She tried to pry it off but it was no use.
“Don’t even try, I’ve tried as well, nothing works…” Bark-Fur told her, Honey
cocked her head, what did she mean by she tried when she didn’t have one? “Oh,
in case your wondering why I don’t have a bond is because ya’know-“ she pointed
to her beak “-Tiny owl beak! Take that dragons!” there was loud banging on the
cell, then a very angry Lava-Scale appeared in front of the cell bars, “shut
your beak or I’ll burn it off!” he said. “geeze! Mr. grumpy feathers! Or should
I say scales? Never mind! Anyway… where was I?” Bark-Fur asked. “Oh! Yeah, that
over there is Rain, he doesn’t do much but lay until they take us out or bring
us food…” Rain let out a long moan from somewhere in the shadows. Honey wished
she could talk! She had so many questions… “and this is Rose” Bark-Fur answered
for a pinkish-orange colored cub, she had red tinted ears and paws. Rose had a
bond around her beak too, was Bark-Fur the only owl gryphon? Or was the others
too frightened to talk? Rose looked like she wanted to talk just as much as
Honey did, how long had it been since she was taken? All eyes turned toward
dragons dragging a white and grey Snow Tribe cub, the cub was struggling but
wasn’t nearly as strong as the two Mud-Claws who were dragging him. Bark-Fur
padded over to her “I know what you might be thinking, why is there more teens?
The answer is… I don’t know, they take Blizzard allot, all I know is they
interrogate the teens” she paused before continuing “you may also be wandering
why they need us, all I know is if the teens won’t tell them anything they
threaten them with us” Rose shuttered and Rain whimpered. That’s when Honey got
a better look at Rain, only his face but it was enough to tell her why he
seemed so scared, one of his eyes had a claw mark and his right eye was covered
with white cloth. When the cell door creaked open, and when a Dart-Tail and the
Lava-Scale from earlier stalked into the cell, all the cubs including Honey
began to back away.
They
stalked over to the cubs, Rain was crying In the dark corner and Rose went over
to comfort him. That’s when the Dart-Tail took out a metal caller with a chain
connected to it. They walked over muttering how they were going to enjoy this,
and put the caller on Bark-Fur, and she just let them! Bark-Fur must have saw
Honey’s worried expression because she said “don’t worry about me” but Honey
wasn’t going to believe it. Instead she rammed into Bark-Fur, pulled on the
chain, and sat down, giving the dragons her most deadliest glare. “Honey what
was that for?!?” Bark-Fur asked her face lit with worry as the dragons took of
the metal caller, whispering to each other about taking her instead. They
clamped It onto Honey’s neck and tugged, “Honey…” Bark-Fur said, didn’t she
appreciate this at all? wasn’t she tired of it happening to her? Honey thought
as they led her out of the cell and forced her down the hall.
The
two dragons opened an iron door exposing Blizzard with metal bonds around his
neck, talons, and hind paws. The bonds had chains connected to the floor.
Blizzard’s worried expression was beyond imagination as the Dart-Tail grabbed
two smaller bonds, they made a click sound when they where clamped onto Honey’s
talons and hooked to the floor. The Fire-Scale hooked the chain from her neck
bond onto the wall, and walked out the room. “Now” the dragon said, grabbing
Honey’s face and putting a claw slightly above her left eye, “Tell me how your
gaining more and more gryphons, when you should have many wounded!” then he
added “or this cub, Honey, that’s your name right?” Honey stayed quiet and he
said “I’ll start by scraping Honey’s left eye. Then gouging her right with a
spike!” then he lifted his tail, he was clearly being serious. Blizzard cleared
his throat, “we DO have lots of wounded gryphons…” Honey screeched when the
Dart-Tail scraped her eye with one claw, it stung like a thousand needles
stabbing her eye then being pulled out. Blizzard whimpered when Honey struggled
to lift her chained talons to her face, tugging on the bonds. “That’s not what
I asked for” the Dart-Tail said, his tongue slithering in and out, “now are you
ready to cooperate?”
Evil dragons 😡 I would like to clarify that they are not all evil 😅 (as you will find out later in the story p.s. Sorry! I couldn't help but say that 😂)
ReplyDeleteYes, sometimes [all the time] it pains me to think how cruel I made them 😓, but I try to think "at least you know its bad" but sometimes that doesn't help... -Stitchj56
